Based in Chicago, Maureen is a Community Engagement Specialist for the Policing Project’s Chicago Neighborhood Policing Initiative. Maureen has worked in the non-profit sector for over ten years on the south and west sides of Chicago. Her roles included community organizer around education policy and reform; case manager supervisor for community outreach and violence prevention; and public safety coordinator. She previously served as Director of CSAC-South (Community Support Advisory Council), an Illinois Department of Corrections state-funded prison reentry program. Maureen continues to engage with many collaborative partners and agencies across Chicago.
